Spine Stenosis

For the last ten years or so I have been a runner. Not the fastest or the best runner, but I do still consider myself to be a pretty good long distance runner. My lower back began to bother me a few years back, as did my neck. The doctor recommended that I get a cervical posture pump to help relieve some of the pressure that the disc's in my back were feeling. He said that I could end up with a herniated disc if I was not careful.

When I looked online at the cervical posture pump it looked like a strange head and neck contraption. "I am going to strap this thing on....hum." The doctor told me that the cervical posture pump would help to reinforce my cervical lordotic curve. He said that over time the cervical posture pump would gradually lift, separate, and stretch my neck and back joints. The cervical posture pump was going to help give my back and neck the proper curve shape that it no longer had.

With the pressure removed and the compression of my disc's relieved, the cervical posture pump would give me back mobility and help me to experience less pain, especially when I run. Usually the day after I run is the worst. I feel like I am in my 80's and can hardly walk sometimes. When I first saw the doctor I was afraid he was going to tell me that I needed surgery so the cervical posture pump seemed like a better, less invasive option. Not to mention, if it does what it is supposed to do, I will be thrilled.

I have ordered my cervical posture pump and it should be here in a few days. I hope that it helps ease my back and neck pain because the thought of giving up running is almost to much for me to handle. The health benefits of running are so important and it truly is a part of my life. The cervical posture pump could save me from having to give up a sport that I love and want to continue doing. I cannot see myself living with chronic pain, so this has just got to work.

The doctor told me that he has had other patients who have used the cervical posture pump and pretty much all of them said they have experienced a relief from back and neck pain. I am ready to give this a try and get back to feeling like my old self again.
